Defiance Softball has provided the City of Defiance with fastpitch softball for 50 years.

Every summer, we offer opportunities for girls softball in 16u, 12u, 10u, and 8u (coach pitch).

**Players may play up a grade/division, but not down.**

**No player may move up early to 16u.**

PLAYER EVALUATIONS

WHO needs to attend?

Any player new to our program or any player moving to a new age group for the 2025 season.

Any returning player will be placed on the same team they were in last season, unless the player is moving up to a new age group.

​**8u players do NOT need to attend. All 8u players are placed on a team.**

SESSION 1: Saturday, March 8

                  10u: 2:30-3:30pm

                  12u & 16u: 3:30-4:30pm

                   Location: Niese Center at DHS

SESSION 2: Tuesday, March 11

                  10u: 7:00-8:00pm

                  12u & 16u: 8:00-9:00pm

                  Location: Niese Center at DHS

​

      *Check in opens 15 minutes prior to session start.*

​

Players need to only attend one of the sessions.

​Players should be prepared with shoes/cleats, glove, bat, and helmet.

Some equipment will be available if needed.

​

All players who register to play with Defiance Softball will be on a team. Any returning player will be placed on the same team they were in last season, unless the player is moving up to a new age group.

Registration Deadline: March 2

Evaluation Sessions: March 8 or March 11

Practices Begin: March 24

​Regular Season: May 5 - June 20

Tournament: June 22 - 26

Games will be primarily played Monday-Thursdays.

10u: $75

8u: $65

Fee includes uniform shirt & socks.

​LOCATIONS

Our summer league games will be primarily played at Diehl Park in Defiance, and at Defiance High School. Each team will also travel to one of our affiliate program field locations for a few games.
